Thank you for visiting our township. We are proud to be part of the information expressway and appreciate the chance to show you what Cooper has to offer.

Allow me to introduce myself to you. I am Jeff Sorensen, Township Supervisor. I am a long time resident of Cooper Charter Township; graduated from Parchment High School in 1979. I have been blessed with a wonderful family, my wife of over 25 years, and 2 daughters. I worked almost 20 years with the Cooper Charter Township Fire Department, 12 of those years as Assistant Fire Chief, before being elected as Supervisor.

I was elected to the Office of Township Supervisor in 2000 and I enjoy serving the residents and businesses of Cooper Township.

Cooper Charter Township is a wonderful growing community rich in history, abundant natural resources, and recreational opportunities. I hope you enjoy your tour through out Township.

My name is Carol DeHaan and I am a life-long resident of Cooper Charter Township. My involvement with the Township began at age 16 when I was hired as a co-op student thru Plainwell High School.

I was elected Township Trustee in 1976 and served until I was appointed Treasurer. Prior to being appointed Treasurer in 1997, I had a 21-year career at The Upjohn Company/Pharmacia.

It has been my pleasure over the years to serve the residents and taxpayers of Cooper Charter Township, and I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you about any concerns you may have regarding my office or the township in general.
