Cooper Township Board voted on Monday October 14th to return to the original plan of their Styrofoam Recycling program – COOPER RESIDENTS ONLY.  Recently, in an effort to educate others on the benefits of recycling and the ease of this program, other communities have been allowed to bring styrofoam to Cooper Township events.  Increased traffic and insurance concerns led to the board making the decision to no  longer allow this to happen.  If any other communities have an interest in learning about Cooper Townships Program or how to start their own, please contact either Supervisor Sorensen or Trustee Jim Frederick…..both have expressed an interest in helping others get started with their own program.  Drivers licenses may be required to prove residency when arriving at future styrofoam recycling events!
